THE CONTORTIONIST To Release 'Exoplanet' In August

June 8, 2010

Indianapolis, Indiana's THE CONTORTIONIST has completed work on its full-length debut, "Exoplanet", for an August 31 release via Good Fight Music. The CD was produced by UNEARTH guitarist Ken Susi, who feels that THE CONTORTIONIST has something fresh and unique to bring to the table.

"THE CONTORTIONIST is not your typical, run-of-the-mill band," Susi says. "Lots of bands in this day and age are copycats or just plain old rip-offs of other bands. This is truly an original band; from the overall look, sound, and structure of the songs."

"Writing and recording the new album has been a huge learning experience for all of us," states guitarist Robby Baca. "The past few months have been the most fun and the most stressful times in our lives, but it's awesome to see the whole project come together.

"Working with Ken Susi was a great experience. He's an awesome dude and a great engineer.

"We can't wait to journey to 'Exoplanet'!"

THE CONTORTIONIST will join FOR THE FALLEN DREAMS for a two-week run beginning July 22 in El Paso, Texas and finishing up on August 8 in Jermyn, Pennsylvania.

THE CONTORTIONIST worked hard to earn a loyal hometown following through consistent regional shows, coastal touring and two self-released EPs. Their ability to dole out their sounds to epic proportions in a live setting piqued the interest of Good Fight Music, so in early 2010, shortly after the staff had caught them live, a deal was signed.
